Haven Hospice’s annual report to the community aims to keep our generous donors connected and informed so that you can trust us to continue providing the highest quality of patient and family care. This publication recognizes our donors as well as highlights our programs and services.

A caring phone call supports independence
Haven Transitions provides emotional and social support to patients who may someday need hospice care, and also provides resources to their families and caregivers. Regular contact helps calm the stress and fears that illness can cause and helps patients to live independently. “I’m very grateful for what Haven Transitions does for me,” says Warren Hensley, 87, who has esophageal cancer but has no plans to take it easy. “I will be the first to say so if I need help.” Transitions Coordinator Rachel Baron calls him once a week, which makes Warren feel better and also provides peace of mind for his daughters, who live out of town.
