Annual Giving and Appeals
For more than 27 years, Haven Hospice has met the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients, families, and members of our communities who face life-limiting illnesses and loss. This high quality supportive care is provided to all in need, regardless of their ability to pay. Gifts, big or small, provide significant support for all our services and programs and make a difference in the lives of those we serve.
What services and programs do donations support?
Donations to Haven Hospice are used to provide programs and services not reimbursed by Medicaid, Medicare or private insurance. These include:
- Non-reimbursed patient care for patients that do not have the ability to pay.
- The Haven Healing Hearts grief support program. Healing Hearts provides understanding and support to individuals, families and professionals in our community who are faced with loss. It is not necessary to be, or become, a Haven Hospice patient to benefit from the Healing Hearts program.
- The Haven Pegasus Program for children and young adults. Pegasus is a pediatric support program providing medical, emotional and spiritual care for children, families and the community when facing a life-threatening illness and loss.
- The Haven Transitions education and outreach program. Transitions provides support for individuals and families when living with a serious or potentially life-limiting illness. It is not necessary to be, or become, a Haven Hospice patient to benefit from the Transitions program.
Annual Giving
Each year, Haven honors those individuals, families, businesses and organizations that make a donation in support of the programs and services provided by Haven Hospice or donate in support of one of the care center capital campaigns. These donors make it possible for Haven Hospice to continue to pursue its mission of “…serving people and their communities affected by life-limiting illness and loss by providing comprehensive, compassionate care, while respecting each person’s needs, beliefs and wishes.”
Donors who give a gift of $1,000 or more will receive permanent recognition under the appropriate giving society on the donor wall located in the care center of their choice:

Annual Appeals
Spring Forget-Me-Not Appeal
Our spring Forget-Me-Not appeal focuses on two things that we as an organization care about…creating special memories for families we serve, and making available quality and compassionate care and support to all who are experiencing the challenges of a life-limiting illness or loss.
Holiday Light Up a Life Appeal
Our holiday Light Up a Life appeal features commemorative ornaments, which are replicas of the custom-designed stained glass windows that illuminate the chapels at the Haven Hospice Care Centers. Each year a different care center chapel will be featured. Your support of the Light Up a Life appeal will help provide services to your community that otherwise would not be available.
