The Haven Pegasus Program

The Story of Pegasus

In Greek mythology, Pegasus is a winged horse with a mane and tail of pure gold. Whoever rides the noble steed is empowered to achieve great and honorable deeds. Today, Pegasus rides the night sky as a constellation and continues to instill stargazers with courage, hope, and optimism.

Courage, Optimism and Hope

Serving children and young adults to age 18, the Haven Pegasus Program helps lift the spirits of youth who have a life-limiting illness.

Our goal is to help children, young adults and their families live every day as fully as possible.

Services include:

  • Emotional and spiritual support for children, young adults, their families and significant others in the young person's life
  • An interdisciplinary team of nurses, social workers, home health aides, chaplains, physicians, and volunteers that provide personalized care to meet age-specific needs
  • A focus on pain relief and symptom management for children and young adults who have a life-limiting illness
