Haven Hospice Welcomes New Associate Medical Director for the Tri-County Area
Chiefland, Florida (July 9, 2014) – Haven Hospice welcomes Dr. Patrick Woloszyn who has accepted the position of associate medical director of the Tri-County Care Center and Chiefland Home Team. In addition to leading the care center and home team, Woloszyn will visit patients at nursing homes and other facilities in the area.
Before accepting the position of associate medical director, Dr. Woloszyn worked part time on the weekends at the Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City. He previously held the position of medical director at the Suwannee County Health Department in Live Oak for 20 years. He lives in O’Brien with his wife and 8 out of 12 children and raises sheep in his free time.
Haven Hospice Chief Medical Officer Dr. Fernando Petry believes that Dr. Woloszyn’s long tenure with the health department and his work within the community makes him an ideal full-time staff member in the Tri-Counties.
“Dr. Woloszyn is going to be a great addition to our Tri-County team because of his wonderful personality and interaction with the patients,” said Petry. “It was an easy decision to hire him full time because he was such a great person to work with during his time at the Suwannee Valley Care Center.”
In 1978, Woloszyn earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering at Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York, a medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 1985 and completed his medical residency in 1986 at Wilson Hospital in Johnson City, New York.
