Dr. Stefanie Lord accepted the position of associate medical director for the E.T. York Care Center in Gainesville.
Haven Hospice Hires New Associate Medical Director
Gainesville, Florida (Sept. 4, 2014)— Haven Hospice welcomes Dr. Stefanie Lord who has accepted the position of associate medical director for the E.T. York Care Center and the Gainesville Home Team. In addition to these responsibilities, Dr. Lord will visit patients at nursing homes and other facilities in Gainesville and the surrounding area.
Before accepting the position of associate medical director, Dr. Lord was the Director of the Chronic Kidney Disease Clinic for the Nephrology Associates of North Central Florida.
Haven Hospice Chief Medical Officer Dr. Fernando Petry believes that Dr. Lord’s knowledge of the Gainesville community will make her a valuable asset to Haven Hospice.
“She has a great reputation in the community as a wonderful and caring doctor,” said Petry. “I believe she will thrive at Haven because of her compassion, and Haven will benefit from her experience and knowledge in this area.”
Dr. Lord earned her bachelor’s degree in microbiology with high honors at the University of Florida (UF), a medical degree from the UF College of Medicine in 1988 and completed her medical residency at Shands Hospital in Gainesville.
