Vietnam Veteran’s Last Wish Fulfilled at Haven Hospice
Orange Park, Florida (Oct. 22, 2014)— Vietnam Veteran James Hall’s last wish to hear and see Harley Davidson motorcycles one more time was fulfilled at the Haven Hospice Custead Care Center in Orange Park on October 2.
After his daughter Danielle Davis coordinated the gathering, more than 20 riders arrived at the care center from Palm Coast, St. Augustine, Orange Park and Jacksonville.
“James was clearly moved by this show of camaraderie and support from his fellow riders and veterans,” said Haven Hospice Orange Park Volunteer Coordinator Sandra Francis. “The riders in turn believed that they were the ones who were honored and impacted by this man.”
Hall was brought outside to hear the motorcycles and presented with a T-shirt and cap from Harley Davidson. Each rider shook Hall’s hand and thanked him for his service.
