Roberts Ranch Round-Up was a Success for Haven Hospice

Palatka, Florida  (Oct. 30, 2014)— More than 250 friends, families and neighbors gathered at the Roberts Ranch Round-Up event on Saturday, October 25 and helped raise more than $30,000 for Haven Hospice.

The event, which was hosted by Irving and Norlene Roberts who are long-time supporters of Haven Hospice, included dinner catered by Country Caterers BBQ and Blue Water Bay, live music from the Dave Dion Band, a skeet shooting contest, buggy tours of the Roberts Ranch and a life-sized game of Jenga. The silent auction had more than 50 donated items which include sports memorabilia, gift baskets, gift cards and a grill.

Senator Aaron Bean was in attendance and conducted the live auction. Les Sims was the winner of the skeet shooting contest and was awarded a trophy and gift basket.

Haven Hospice is honored and privileged to have served more than 70,000 patients and families in North Florida over the past 35 years. Since opening in 2003, the Roberts Care Center has provided care to more than 4,500 individuals who were facing a life-limiting illness and supported their loved ones through the process.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the unreimbursed programs and services provided by Haven Hospice to the patients and families in Palatka and the surrounding areas.
