More than 100 community members joined Haven at the ribbon cutting of its new office location in DeLand
Haven Hospice Opens New Office Location
DeLand, Florida (Dec. 5, 2014)—On December 4, more than 100 community members including the Rotary Club of DeLand, The DeLand Area Chamber of Commerce, and representatives from local businesses helped Haven Hospice celebrate the opening of its new administrative offices location at 1576 N Woodland Blvd. in DeLand.
“Our new location increases Haven’s visibility and provides easier access, improved parking and a community room to better serve the Deland area,” said Haven Hospice Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President Pam Saucier. “Haven is pleased to continue to serve the residents of Deland and Volusia County by utilizing these new offices.”
Haven has been honored and privileged to touch the lives of more than 70,000 patients and families wherever they call home in North Florida. Last year alone, Haven provided direct care to 5,321 individuals facing a life-limiting illness and supported their loved ones through the process. In addition, free counseling and grief support was provided to 4,010 individuals and families in the community who needed comfort and compassion; the loved one did not have to be cared for by Haven in order to receive assistance.
Haven hopes these new environments will assist in continuing to fulfill its mission of bringing comfort, care and compassion to patients and families in DeLand and the Volusia County area.
“Our Haven team appreciates the trust and confidence shown to us by this community that has allowed us the privilege to care for them and their loved ones with our services,” said Haven Hospice Patient Care Manager Elizabeth Moran. “We are excited about our new, more convenient location and the opportunity to utilize the new community room for grief support, volunteer trainings and educational discussions regarding end-of-life care at Haven.”
