Local Country Artist Natalie Nicole Green will be performing for the second time at the sixth annual Run for Haven 5K and 10K on Saturday, March 14 at the Tioga Town Center. Green believes in giving back to the community that has helped her throughout her career, and this year she will be giving Run for Haven attendees another reason to love her. Although Green’s debut single, “Rebel Child,” will not be released to the public until March 17, Run for Haven attendees will have an exclusive offer to purchase and download the single.
“Last year was the first time I performed at a 5k or 10k of any kind, and it inspired me to start running,” said Green who loves Gainesville because of its nature trails and beautiful scenery. “Running helps me on the stage, and it’s also a healthy step forward.”
Celebrating the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day, participants of the Run for Haven 5k/10k Run are encouraged to dress in costumes and compete for prizes.
“Those crazy costumes from last year challenged me to up my game for the 14th,” said Green. “I saw green knee- high socks, tutus and hats. Now I know, if it’s the Run for Haven, then the crazier the outfit, the better!”
