On May 23 Haven Hospice hosted the inaugural Veteran’s Coffee Time at the Haven Bunnell Office. It was facilitated by members of the Combat Veteran’s Motorcycle Association who are heavily involved in various veteran activities in the community.
“The Veteran’s Coffee time, which will be held on the fourth Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., is not a lecture or a meeting. It is an opportunity for veterans to sit down with their best friends and talk over coffee,” said Flagler Volunteer Coordinator Jean MacAllister. Coffee and munchies are provided, and Coffee Time is open to every veteran and spouse of a veteran. Haven also welcomes special guests from time-to-time, like Haven Hospice Pet Volunteer Liberty.
Haven celebrates and recognizes the contributions of veterans in the communities we serve. Haven strives to partner with community organizations to better recognize and serve veterans.
Haven is proud to have more than 700 community members dedicating their time and talents to patients and families in 18 counties across North Florida. For more information on Veteran Coffee Time or volunteering in Flagler County, please contact Volunteer Coordinator Jean MacAllister 386.206.9730.
