Honor someone you believe showed an outstanding example of volunteerism in Alachua County during 2014-2015 by nominating them for an  E.T. York Work of Heart Award before June 26, 2015.

In 2014, Gentle Carousel Miniature Therapy Horses received the E.T. York Distinguished Service Award for their work with over 25,000 adults and children each year. Most of their work is in the Gainesville area but they have also been asked to help the school children and first responders of Sandy Hook Elementary, the tornado survivors of Moore, Oklahoma, and child trafficking victims in Washington, D.C.

Since 1971, E.T. York Work of Heart Awards has recognized hundreds of volunteers in our community and the impact they make. Applications are being accepted from any individual, group or agency wanting to nominate an exemplary volunteer or program from Alachua County.  The winners will be recognized at the 2015 E.T. York Work of Heart Awards reception and dinner on Thursday, July 8.

The reception and dinner will be presented by Haven Hospice and held at the Best Western Gateway Grand located at 4200 NW 97th Boulevard starting at 6 p.m. Guest tickets are $35 each and are available for purchase. To receive a nomination form or purchase tickets, please contact April Hampton at aehampton@havenhospice.org or 352-379-6207.  Nomination forms will also be available for pick up at the Gainesville Attic Resale Store located at 300 NW 8th Avenue or the Haven Hospice E. T. York Care Center located at 4200 NW 90th Boulevard in Gainesville.
