The City of Palatka Board of Commissioners read a National Hospice and Palliative Care Proclamation into the meeting minutes on November 10 to assist Haven Hospice in reaching out to Palatka citizens to raise awareness of end-of-life care.

Mayor of Palatka Terrill Hill presented the proclamation to Haven Hospice Professional Liaison Crystal Knighten who accepted the presentation of the proclamation on behalf of Haven Hospice.

Haven reaches out to Putnam County and the surrounding communities on a consistent basis to raise awareness for end-of-life care; however, during National Hospice and Palliative Care Month, Haven seeks to amplify these efforts.  The proclamation celebrates and affirms local government commitment to hospice during November’s National Hospice Palliative Care Month. This proclamation is based on the document issued by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO).
