The Putnam County Board of County Commissioners read a National Hospice and Palliative Care Proclamation into the meeting minutes on November 8 to assist Haven Hospice in reaching out to Palatka citizens to raise awareness of end-of-life care.
Putnam County Commissioner Nancy Harris delivered the proclamation and Chairman of the Putnam County Board of Commissioners Chip Laibl presented the proclamation to Haven Hospice Professional Liaison Crystal Knighten who accepted on behalf of Haven Hospice.
Haven reaches out to Putnam County and the surrounding communities on a consistent basis to raise awareness for end-of-life care; however, during National Hospice and Palliative Care Month, Haven seeks to amplify these efforts. The proclamation celebrates and affirms local government commitment to hospice during November’s National Hospice Palliative Care Month. This proclamation is based on the document issued by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO).
